Bowes Creek Country Club again will be the setting for the fourth annual Beer & BBQ @ Bowes fundraiser, benefitting the Elgin Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund.

The family-friendly event will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. It will feature great food, including rib tasting, BBQ sandwiches, root beer floats, hot dogs and tasting of craft and home brew beers provided by the Silverado brew club.

For children, there will be games, face painting, a clown and family games. Musical groups will be providing the music under the big top, assuring that all will have a great time. Tickets purchased in advance are $25 for the Beer Sampler Package, $20 for the Teetotaler Package, and $5 for the Kids Fun Package. The day of the event the cost will increase by $5.

Tickets can be purchased online at the City of Elgin’s website or at The Centre of Elgin, Porters Pub and Bowes Creek Country Club. The Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund is used to provide recreational opportunities to the children of under resourced families.
