Man From Indiana, Woman From Naperville Win Fox Valley Marathon

Sunday was a cool and often beautiful day for a marathon and motorcycle-riding fundraiser in Kane County.

Charles Wysong of Indiana won the men’s division of the marathon with a time of 2:44:58; Marisa Hird of Naperville won the women’s division with a time of 2:53:37, according to the Advocate Dryer Fox Valley Marathon web page.

Several streets were closed Sunday, Sept. 21, to accommodate the Advocate Dryer Fox Valley Marathon race course, which ran from St. Charles to Aurora and back.

Meanwhile, more than a few motorcyclists traveled Kane County roads for the annual Ride for Autism Speaks.

Check out the Kane County Chronicle and the Daily Herald for great marathon coverage and photos.
