4 MORE Halloween-Themed Things to Do This Weekend in Kane County
Seven days ago, we told you about five fun and frightening things to do for weekend entertainment in Kane County. All five of those are going on this weekend, but we’ll give you five more for good measure.
(1) Nightmare on Chicago Street — Elgin
Billed as the “Fox Valley’s largest Halloween event,” Nightmare on Chicago Street is Elgin’s big celebration.
“In order to maintain some sort of economic health after the apocalypse we are asking for a safe zone entrance fee of $10. This will get you into the safe zone to partake in all of the entertainment, but more importantly it will guarantee your survival!! Online tickets can be purchase on our website for only $7.”

(2) Holy Bat Fest, Batman! — Batavia
“BatFest is Batavia’s annual Halloween themed family event attracting over 2,500 ghouls. BatFest includes, downtown Trick-or-Treating, Mothers’ Club Parade, pumpkin roll, contests BatArt and games for free family fun. The event will take place Saturday October 25, 2014 at the Batavia River Walk from 10a.m. to 2 p.m.”

(3) SciTech’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo — Aurora
Free pumpkin carving demonstrations, spooky creation stations and free children’s admission with paying adult at SciTech Hands-On Museum.

(4) Geneva Ghost Walk — Geneva
“New stories and old legends will bring the darker corners of Geneva to light. Given the community’s penchant for historic preservation, it is no surprise that even Geneva’s ghosts are historic. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes. The tours will go rain or shine and are limited to 30 people per tour.”
