Bergen International, a producer of chemical foaming agents, will locate its new 45,000 square foot manufacturing facility located at 1385 Madeline Lane, Elgin.

The new facility includes a new extrusion line complete with updated material handling equipment, and enables Bergen International to double its manufacturing and production capabilities. The new building also houses a state-of-the-art laboratory facility. In addition, Bergen said it has increased its production, laboratory, shipping and receiving staff.

The company’s chemical foaming agents, Foamazol, Foamazol XO, and Foamazol XOP, are available for use in most plastic applications such as pipe, profile and sheet extrusion; injection, structural foam, and rotational molding; blown and extruded films; wire and cable extrusion; blow molded containers; polypropylene ribbon extrusion and others.
