Blues BBQ and Grill, located at 102 North River Street in East Dundee, will be celebrating its Grand Opening on Monday, Oct. 20. Village officials and business leaders will be attending a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce at 4:45 p.m. at their newest location, 102 N. River St., East Dundee, IL.

After a summer of preparation, Buzz Doyle, along with founder Patrick Maggi, have opened Blues BBQ and Grill. The menu includes traditional southern bbq cooking consisting of baby back ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken meals.  Sides to share include traditional cut fries and sweet potato fries, and not-so-traditional fried okra, creamed succotash and collard greens. The menu is complemented with burgers, sandwiches, salads and wraps.

“We are thrilled to finally open our doors to the Fox Valley. We’ve put a lot of effort into the menu, the community and feel right-at-home with our customers already since they have been coming to the SundayFarmers market. Now we finally have a place to call home,” said Buzz Doyle, co-owner.

All are welcome to the Grand Opening on Monday, Oct. 20, with live musical entertainment beginning at 7 p.m. and provided by Chainsaw DuPont, legendary blues guitarist and Chicago legend.

The Blues BBQ business was started in 2004. With locations in Virginia and Maryland, the East Dundee Blue BBQ and Grill will be the business’s third location. For the past decade, Blues BBQ and Grill has striven to create the perfect balance of BBQ and sauce to achieve the perfect smoked-over-wood BBQ flavor. Over the years, they have also tasted many different types of BBQ from around the world, which has served as a guide as they incorporate different BBQ elements into their own signature BBQ flavor.
