Compañeros en Salud: Nov. 1 Men’s Health Festival Addresses Diabetes, Heart Disease, Prostate Cancer and More

Compañeros en Salud/Partners in Health, NFP invites men, ages 18 and over, to its first Men’s Health Festival from 7:45 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at Presence Mercy Medical Center, 1325 N. Highland Ave—Main Entrance, Lower Level, Aurora IL.

The free festival is designed to promote healthy living habits and preventative care tips to help men. The festival services include the following presentations:

  • Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Stroke — Jose Magana, M.D.
  • Prostate Cancer — Layne Rousseau, DO Urology, Dr. Sea Chen, M.D. —
  • Heart Disease / “Ask the Doctor” — Dr. Juan Bonilla, M.D.

Cholesterol and blood glucose screenings are available by appointment at 8 a.m. and require 10-hour fasting.

The Men’s Health Festival is held with the support of Rush- Copley Medical Center, Presence Mercy Medical Center, Waubonsee Community College, the city of Aurora, Aurora Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board, and the coalition’s member agencies and volunteers.
