Fox River & Countryside Fire/Rescue District is hosting an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 29, at Fox River Station #1, located at 40W361 Route 64, Wasco, IL.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide accurate information to residents in the petition area. Fox River Chief Greg Benson will be present to answer residents’ questions. Representatives from the Elburn Fire Protection District have also been invited to attend, according to a press release from the Fox River Fire/Rescue District.

“A significant amount of misleading and inaccurate information has been presented to the residents and media,” the release said. “The informational meeting will provide a forum for questions and answers, allowing voters to be informed on facts of the matter and important aspects of the public question.”

Specific questions or areas of concern can be emailed to Benson at benson@frcfr.org prior to the meeting, the press release said.
