The Forest Preserve District of Kane County asks Fox River Trail users to be aware of a tree-trimming project that may briefly impact the trail, within Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva and Glenwood Park Forest Preserve in Batavia.

A contractor for ComEd will trim trees on the east side of the Fox River Trail at both Fabyan and Glenwood Park Forest Preserves from Oct. 29 to Oct. 31.

Trail users are asked to be mindful of the possibility for machinery, and/or workers in the area.  Signs will be posted along the trail in both directions, leading up to the project areas. While the trail will be kept open for majority of the work, it may become necessary to briefly close an area.

The schedule is weather dependent. The Forest Preserve District will post any changes to the schedule on its Web site at www.kaneforest.com.
