Free Recycling Event in St. Charles on Saturday, Nov. 8 – Electronics, Books This Time
Kane County Recycles is recycling electronics and books from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 8, at 540 S. Randall in St. Charles.
At this event, you can recycle electronics — stuff like computers, keyboards, laptops, printers, televisions (any size or age), stereos, cell phones, microwaves, basically anything with a plug on it, except large household appliances like refrigerators and washing machines.
You can also recycle books of any age and condition here. And volunteers and staff do the unloading for you.
A complete list of accepted items, and more information can be found at www.countyofkane.org/recycling under “Electronics Recycling.”
“We are only accepting electronics and books at this month’s event,” Kane County Recycling Coordinator Jennifer Jarland said. “But at the upcoming event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 13, at the same location, we will also be accepting confidential documents for shredding.”
More information online is available at address above, under “Document Shredding.”
And if you want to talk to a real, live human being, contact Kane County Recycling Coordinator Jennifer Jarland at 630-208-3841 or recycle@countyofkane.org.
