Help Children in Haiti By Attending Nov. 12 Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Jamie Schumacher, Batavia teacher, North Aurora resident and New Hope/ Nueva Esperanza Lutheran Church member, continues to be involved in very special projects, including equine therapy, with orphans and special needs children in Haiti. She has made frequent trips to Haiti, raised funds to buy the land for a special facility, and continues to serve an under-served population still suffering from the effects of devastating hurricanes in Haiti.

To support her projects, Pastor Sandy Jones’ congregation of New Hope/Nueva Esperanza Lutheran Church of Aurora and Thrivent Financial Services are sponsoring a spaghetti dinner with all proceeds going to support Jamie’s work in Haiti.

The dinner will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, downstairs in the Fellowship Hall of the Fourth Street United Methodist Church building. 551 S. Fourth Street in Aurora. Special Haitian treats will be available, and Jamie will discuss some of her experiences.

Prices are $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 4-12 and $1 for children under 4.  A gluten free meal is also available.

Tickets and additional information about the dinner are available from the church office 630-896-0478 oroffice@newhopeelca.org.
