Tightrope Daredevil Nik Wallenda Coming Nov. 15-16 to Kane County
Nik Wallenda, the world-renowned daredevil who, as you might have noticed Sunday, Nov. 2, set two new world records with daring tightrope walks high above Chicago, is doing a series of speaking engagements on Nov. 15 and 16 as part of Christ Community Church’s WOW Weekend.
A seventh-generation member of The Flying Wallendas family, Nik Wallenda now holds 10 Guinness World Records for his acrobatic feats, including walking directly over the Niagara Falls in 2012 walking across the Grand Canyon in 2013.
In 2013, Wallenda released a memoir titled Balance: A Story of Faith, Family, and Life on the Line. In it, he shared about growing up a circus kid, fighting pride in a works-based vocation, and the pain and tragedy in his famous family’s past (including his great-grandfather’s death on a tightrope).
The interviews are open to the public and will take place at the St. Charles Campus, 37W100 Bolcum Road, during three identical services on Nov. 15 and Nov. 16 and will be shown via video at the Bartlett, Blackberry Creek, and DeKalb Campuses.
There is no charge or ticket to attend.
