Aurora Woman Dies After Thursday Crash in Plainfield
The Kane County Coroner’s Office has identified the Aurora woman killed in a Thursday car crash in Plainfield.
According to an article in the Chicago Tribune, the woman was killed at about 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, when the woman’s northbound Hyundai Santa Fe crossed the center line and struck a southbound truck. The box truck driver was not injured, but a passenger in the truck complained of back pain.
According to a press release from the Kane County Coroner’s Office, the coroner was called to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora when the driver was pronounced dead at 9:20 a.m. The driver was identified as Nicole Nuemann, 37, of Aurora.
The cause of death is under investigation by the Kane County Coroner’s Office.
An autopsy was performed on Dec. 12, 2014 and is pending further investigation. Toxicology samples were sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis.
The Kane County Coroner’s Office is cooperating with all police and fire agencies in their ongoing investigation of the incident, the press release said.
