Every year Batavia MainStreet takes time to celebrate all those who make the Batavia downtown the heart of the community.

“We just want to say thank you,” Batavia MainStreet said in a press release. “It needs to be said: We want our members, supporters and volunteers to know how much we appreciate all they do to help Batavia MainStreet make the downtown the heart of our community.”

Along with the celebration there will be 10 “Downtown MainStreet Awards” presented to recognize individual and businesses that stand out and have been instrumental in all the successes of 2014.  Batavia MainStreet is accepting nominations from all downtown businesses, as well as partners and volunteers.

Nomination forms can be filled out online at www.DowntownBatavia.com, or you can request a form by emailing info@DowntownBatavia.com.

All nominations must be received in the MainStreet office by Friday Jan. 16, 2015.  Winners will be chosen by an ad hoc committee comprised of members from each of the four committees of our MainStreet program (Organization, Promotion, Design and Economic Restructuring).  All nominees will be notified by Tuesday Jan. 20, 2015.

The celebration will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday Feb. 12, 2015 at Interiors for Business, 409 N. River St. There will be music, appetizers and refreshments as part of the celebrations.
