County Clerk: Campton Hills Will Get Primary on Feb. 24

Kane County Clerk John A. Cunningham announced Monday that a Consolidated Primary will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, for the village of Campton Hills.

The dates for the February primary only affect people residing in the village limits of Campton Hills.

Campton Hills residents who still need to register or change their voter registration may use grace period registration for the Consolidated Primary, available in the Kane County Clerk’s Office only from Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 until Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015.

A voter who registers for the Consolidated Primary will cast his or her ballot during the primary’s grace period.

Early voting for the Consolidated Primary will begin on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 through Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015. See the Kane County Clerk’s website for details.

Registration will resume on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 for village of Campton Hills residents.

Voter Registration for Kane County

Voter registration for all Kane County residents who are not part of the Aurora Election Commission is available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at at the County Clerk’s Office. Two forms of current identification are required.

The Kane County Clerk’s Voter Registration Office is located in Building B at the Kane County Government Center, 719 South Batavia Avenue (Route 31), Geneva.

To register, a person must be a United States citizen, 18 years old on or before the date of the next election, a resident of the precinct for 30 days prior to the election, and provide two forms of identification, one of which shows their current name and address.

Kane County residents may check their registration online by going to www.kanecountyelections.org; click on “Are you registered” and follow the directions on the page.
