WGN to Host On-Air Valentine’s Weekend Wedding Experience at Hotel Baker
Looking for something a little different as part of the 2015 Valentine’s weekend experience?
How about witnessing an on-air wedding or wedding vow renewal?
According to the city of St. Charles and WGN radio, WGN’s Hometown Voices Tour is coming to beautiful, enchanting St. Charles, where on-air personality Steve Cochran will broadcast live from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at the Hotel Baker, 100 W. Main St.
“It’s a great way to kick off Valentine’s Day weekend in style at Hotel Baker with WGN Radio,” said Lisa Garhan, community & public affairs coordinator.
Unfortunately, your Kane County Connects editor is a tad too slow in his old age and didn’t get this posted in time for you to enter and win a chance to have Pete McMurray officiate your wedding or vow renewal ceremony live on-air during the Steve Cochran show. Or win the grand prize, which includes an overnight stay for two at the Hotel Baker, a $20 Hotel Baker breakfast voucher and chocolate covered strawberries. I looked at the WGN website just now, and it says, “Sorry, this promotion has ended.”
But it sounds like you can still drop by and see a live radio show in downtown St. Charles, and get a chance to see someone renew their vows and win that grand prize.
The Hotel Baker, as you’ll recall, was the site of the fabulous Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg wedding back in August. And the Hotel Baker has been rated by local brides and voted “The Knot Best of Weddings 2014 Pick,” so congratulations to another great, local business!
