A Forest Preserve District of Kane County project may cause temporary, intermittent closures of the Great Western Trail in St. Charles for about five days.

A beam on the bridge will be replaced. The project area runs from Peck Road to Dean Street. Signs alerting trail users to the intermittent closures have been posted at both ends of the project area.

The Forest Preserve District asks users to be mindful of the project and the possibility for construction traffic on our around the trail.

The project begins Monday, March 30, and is expected to be completed by Friday, April 3.
