Flaggers, One-Way Travel on Keslinger Road March 23-30 as Anderson Road Project Progresses
Lanes will be closed on portions of Keslinger Road between Illinois Route 47 and La Fox Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, March 23, though March 30th, weather permitting, so that workers can install new storm sewers for the Anderson Road project.
Traffic will be reduced to one-way travel, controlled by flaggers, with possible full traffic stops for up to 10 minutes or longer.
The public is asked to consider avoiding the area during this work and seek alternate routes, when possible. Motorists affected by this work are advised to increase travel times, pay attention to the flaggers and exercise caution while traveling through the work area.
The Anderson Road Project is a $14.4 million road improvement and grade separation effort initiated in fall 2013 that includes two miles of new roadway and a bridge/overpass, providing direct access to the Elburn Metra station. The work is expected to be completed in the summer or fall of this year.
Funding for the project comes from federal, state and local sources. Kane County’s portion of $4,901,608 could be reimbursed by Illinois Commerce Commission funds, according to the Kane County Division of Transportation website.
