It’s time to sign up for the 11th annual Dewey Dash!

This popular 5K run/walk takes place Sunday, April 12, at the Town and Country Public Library, 320 E. North Street, Elburn. The 5K course is USATF certified and professionally timed.

A one-mile fun run is also available. The one-mile race begins at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K starts at 9 a.m. All participants receive a T-shirt, goody bag, and the best post-race snacks around, courtesy of our local restaurants. This year’s theme is “super heroes.” Runners and walkers are encouraged to come in costume. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.

Proceeds from the event will be used to fund the Library’s 2015 summer reading programs.
