‘Lions, Lambs, Nature Babies and Salamanders’ — Preschoolers Explore the Wonders of Nature
Lions, lambs, nature babies and salamanders will be the themes for spring nature programs for preschoolers, from the Forest Preserve District of Kane County.
In “Nature Tykes,” 3-year olds explore the natural world through a variety of activities with their parent or caregiver. Sessions include a combination of stories, nature hikes, songs, games and crafts. On Thursday, March 19, lions and lambs will be our theme. On Thursday, April 16, nature babies will be our topic, and on Thursday, May 21, salamanders will be our theme. “Nature Tykes” programs run from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Creek Bend Nature Center. Registration is $5 per child, per session.
“Little Naturalists” is the Forest Preserve District’s hour-long program for 4-year olds. Children will discover the wonders of nature through a variety of activities including songs, hikes, stories, games and crafts. This program is for the young participants. Parents, caregivers and siblings may enjoy the trails of LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, or wait inside the nature center, during the program. On Thursday, March 19, our program focuses on lions and lambs. On Thursday, April 16, our theme will be nature babies.
On Thursday, May 21, salamanders will be our theme. “Little Naturalists” programs run from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Creek Bend Nature Center. Registration is $5 per child, per session.
