Kane County’s FREE Recycling Event Saturday: Electronics and Books

Electronics Recycling

The Kane County Recycles event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday April 11, at 540 S. Randall in St. Charles is free, free, free … for Kane County residents only.

Recycle ELECTRONICS like televisions (any size or age), computers, keyboards, laptops, printers, stereos, cell phones, microwaves, holiday lights, and more. Click here for a full list of accepted electronics.

“We unload for you and the County’s electronics recycler will destroy the data on your hard drive so you don’t have to!” Recycling Coordinator Jennifer Jarland said.

Kane County also receives BOOKS of any age and condition for reuse or recycling. We are only accepting electronics and books at this month’s event.

The next electronics and books recycling event after Saturday’s event is from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 9, at the same location.

Kane County does not accept hazardous waste or large household appliances like washers and refrigerators.

More information can be found at the Kane County Recycles webpage.
