Parapet Wall Repairs Mean Lane Closures on Randall Road

Man the parapet walls!

Sorry, got a little carried away there with the latest Kane County Division of Transportation news regarding repair work on Randall Road over the Tyler Creek railroad bridge.

Traffic will be temporarily reduced to one lane in each direction at times on the Randall Road over Tyler Creek Bridge, beginning the week of Monday, April 20, 2015, weather permitting, to allow crews to do repair work on the parapet walls along the east side and west side of the structure.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction during the morning and afternoon rush hour. However, periodic lane closures may occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Motorists should expect increased travel times, pay attention to new lane configurations and watch for equipment and workers entering and leaving the work zone area.

“The county wishes to apologize for any inconvenience caused by this work and thank you for your continued support,” the press release says.

Questions or concerns may be directed to Ken Mielke at (630) 816-9671. For all Kane County traffic advisories, see the alerts page on the KDOT website.
