Route 38 Resurfacing Starts at 3 Locations Monday, April 13
Kane County and the city of Geneva are pointing out to drivers throughout Kane County that on Monday, April 13, 2015, construction crews will be temporarily closing the right turn lane in order to adjust utility structures in the pavement at three locations:
- southbound Peck Road to IL Route 38 west
- eastbound IL Route 38 to southbound Peck Road
- westbound IL Route 38 to northbound Randall Road
This work is anticipated to occur in the late morning to early afternoon, weather permitting.
During the temporary lane closures, right hand turns will be permitted from the open through lanes. Motorists are advised to exercise due caution while executing these maneuvers.
This work is part of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s IL Route 38 resurfacing program from IL Route 47 to IL Route 31 which started April 6 and is expected to be completed by summer 2015.
The public is advised to increase travel times, be alert to construction activity, obey any flaggers and exercise caution while proceeding through the work zones.
