Veterans Meeting to Discuss Ongoing Reform May 11 at Government Center
U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren announced Wednesday, April 22, that he will host a joint meeting for Veteran Service Officers and Illinois veterans to convene Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and Chicago Regional Benefits Office leadership. Taking place on Monday, May 11 at the Kane County Government Center in Geneva, the meeting will allow VSOs and Illinois veterans to hear directly from new and current Illinois VA representatives on ongoing reform updates, and will foster relationships and collaboration among the new leadership.
“I am excited to hear what our new leadership has in store for Illinois, and how VA representatives can join forces in providing the best and highest quality care to our veterans,” Rep. Hultgren said. “Although progress is being made, there is still room for improvements in servicing and patient wait times in Illinois. This meeting will provide for open communication between VA leadership and our Veteran Service Officers, veterans, and their families as reform efforts continue.”
