Crack Sealing Coming to 7 Major County Roads

The Kane County 2015 Crack Sealing Program is scheduled to continue into the next section of roads, starting the week of May 25, 2015, weather permitting, with an anticipated duration of approximately three weeks. The program involves filling and sealing roadway cracks on various county roads to extend the life of the pavement.

Subject to change, the roadways are scheduled to be treated in the following order:

  • Army Trail Road (Dunham Road to County Line)
  • Bunker Road (Main Street to Keslinger Road)
  • Cherry Lane (N. Lane Road to Kirk Road)
  • Dunham Road (Kirk Road to 1850’ South of IL Route 25)
  • Kirk Road (IL Route 64 to Fox Chase Road)
  • Plato Road (Burlington Road to IL Route 47)
  • Silver Glen Road (IL Route 47 to Corron Road)

The above mentioned roads will remain open during treatment and will be reduced to one lane travel using temporary daily lane closures. Motorists should add additional time to their commutes, expect delays, watch for construction activity, and obey flaggers while traveling through the work areas. Motorists may want to consider the use of alternate routes while this work is being completed.
