Leader’s Summit Focus: The Power of Fusion Planning

Leader’s Summit Focus: The Power of Fusion Planning

Chairman's Corner

On May 8, Kane County is inviting local leaders to the county’s first annual Leaders Summit at the Q Center in St. Charles. What brings us together on this Friday is what I like to call “fusion planning,” the powerful integration of transportation, development and public health.

For community leaders, the value of this meeting won’t be measured by the nominal price of admission, but in the respect and influence you amass through your good work.

Our goal is to be happy, healthy and productive neighbors and friends. Our themes are “Partnerships” and “Integration” among the critical functions of growth and investment within Kane County.

We hope to form partnerships to do our jobs better, whether we’re developers, city administrators, employers, educators, legislators or county public servants. We will bridge gaps between local and state governments, developers and public officials, educators and employers.

We meet on Friday to answer the question: “How do we cooperate to attract investment and grow?”

Our vision is healthy community development that fuses the crucial elements of health, transportation and development in all design and implementation stages. Strength is in our numbers, representing more than 523,000 people. Confidence in leadership and stability in our mission and practices form the building blocks for developers, investors and happy, healthy residents.
