Join Neighborhood Housing Services for a FREE full day of homebuyer education to get prepared to buy your own home.

The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at the NHS of the Fox Valley, One American Way, Elgin.

This class is full of useful information whether you have owned a home in the past or are simply starting to think about purchasing a home. Class topics will include assessing your readiness to own, how to budget your finances and potentially include a new mortgage payment, what credit is and why it’s so important, what professionals should be involved in the home buying process, what happens at the closing and after.

Industry professionals may be available to answer any questions you might have after class.
