You Still Have a Chance to Be Aurora’s July 4 Parade Grand Marshal

The city of Aurora, in partnership with Roosevelt Aurora American Legion Post 84, has extended the deadline for nominations of citizens to serve as the Fourth of July Parade grand marshal to May 29.

The nominations should be for Aurorans who have made significant contributions to the quality of life in the city whether it be in the areas of civic and/or social services, humanitarianism, or through personal achievements such as athletics or the arts. Nominees must be current or long-time past residents of the City or have brought some distinction to Aurora.

Nominees must be willing and available to serve as grand marshal, including leading the parade. Persons previously nominated but not selected may be nominated again.

Nomination forms are available online or by calling the City of Aurora Special Events office at 630-256-3370.

The Fourth of July Parade is slated for 10 a.m., Saturday, July 4, in downtown Aurora.
