There’s going to be a big celebration Thursday in Chicago.

You might have heard something about it. There’s this little piece of news going around that the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS HAVE WON THEIR THIRD STANLEY CUP IN SIX YEARS!!!!

Not that we’re counting.

For the Nagel family, it was a pretty big deal. We watched probably 80 percent of the regular-season games from start to finish, and it’s been an amazing journey.

To be honest, I didn’t think it would happen this year. The Hawks weren’t playing their best hockey at the end of the season, Kane was out with an injury, and the lineup of high-quality playoff contenders was daunting. But you know how the story turned out. The Hawks went through the Nashville Predators, blitzed the Minnesota Wild, survived pummeling in seven games against the Anaheim Ducks, then beat a terrific and young Tampa Bay Lightning team to win the Stanley Cup.

Why am I telling you all this Blackhawks backstory and personal puff? Because we’d like to post some fan reaction from Kane County, IL, and we’re asking your help.

When Patrick Kane connected with that second goal last night, we had a strong feeling that the Blackhawks were about to win Lord Stanley’s Cup. Now we want Kane County to connect with the celebration.
