Must-See Event: RiverFest in St. Charles, June 11-14
There are a ton of things going on in Kane County this weekend, from the recycling extravaganza to the Palmer Cup at Rich Harvest Farms, but one of the big Kane County festivals of the summer is taking place in St. Charles, and there will be a ton o’ fun for the whole family.
The event takes place 5 p.m. Thursday, June 11, to 10 p.m. Sunday, June 14, but most of the big stuff is Friday and Saturday.
“RiverFest is THE kick-off to summer in the Fox Valley area,” the Riverfest website says. “A FREE Main Stage with three days of non-stop entertainment featuring the best of Chicagoland’s finest musicians, sanctioned Dragon Boat races on the Fox River, a 40 ton fantasy Sand Sculpture, Children’s Live entertainment stage and even more await you in downtown St Charles. With free events and activities throughout the downtown in numerous venues, we truly have ‘Something for Everyone!’ ”
Admission and parking at all the venues is FREE!
There are all kinds of new entertainment options and programs this year. And one of the cool events is a presentation by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office’s very own SWAT team.
