Take a Tour of Animal Control’s New Website!
Kane County Animal Control has a newly redesigned website, and it’s chock full o’ fresh and useful information.
It has a new look, a new organization and a new logo. Even the URL is different: “kanecountypets.com/” rather than “Kane County Animal Control” (which is probably too long) or “KCAC” (which probably isn’t recognizable to most folks — yet).
Part of the reason for the redesign is simple functionality. The old site looked old, frankly, and some of the materials hadn’t been updated in a long time. Another reason is what Kane County Animal Control Director Brett Youngsteadt described at Tuesday’s Public Health Committee as “rebranding.”
“It has to be a valuable asset and tool for the community,” he said. “Something like this is an important start.”
Kanecountypets.com is easy to navigate, and probably your best bet is just to go to the home page and start clicking on those words in the green bar at the top of the page, from”home” to “contact.”

Probably what’s most impressive about the site is the quality of the content. The Animal Control staff worked very hard to put all this together, and the Kane County IT Department was awesome in making a design that easy to manage and easy for all of us to use and enjoy.
