Upcoming Heavy Rains Trigger Flash-Flood Watch

Upcoming Heavy Rains Trigger Flash-Flood Watch

Heavy rains expected to hit home on Wednesday and Thursday have triggered a Flash Flood Watch for Kane County residents.

The National Weather Service has issued the watch from Wednesday night, June 24, through Thursday afternoon, June 25, 2015.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop increase in coverage and intensity during that time. Because the ground is saturated, we should expect “immediate runoff and rapid flooding as well as quick stream and creek rises,” the alert says.
