Where to Find Fourth of July Fireworks, Parades in Kane County 2015
Kane County is chock full o’ things to do this Independence Day weekend.
But with the holiday falling on Friday, which communities will be hosting events on July 3 and which will wait until July 4? And there’s even one community that celebrates the following week on July 10 and 11.
For your convenience, we’ve put together this list of fireworks and parades, based on press releases and an Internet search. If we miss any, let us know, and we’ll add them to the list.
Aurora
3rd of July Fireworks Extravaganza
At approximately, 9:30 p.m., the City of Lights will live up to its name with a pyrotechnic extravaganza illuminating the night sky with a rainbow of colors! Fireworks can be viewed from both McCullough and RiverEdge Parks and along the banks of the river.

Independence Day Parade
The annual Fourth of July Parade will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2015, with step-off at 10 a.m. This year’s theme is “Proud to be an American”. The parade route will be east on Benton Street, north on Broadway, west on Galena Boulevard, south on Stolp Avenue, west on Downer Place and ending at River Street. The July 4th Reviewing Stand will be in front of the Paramount Theatre at 23 East Galena Boulevard for best viewing.

July 4 Ringing of the Bells
Open house, old-fashioned picnic and national Ringing of the Bells on the grounds of the 1857 Tanner House Museum, 305 Cedar St., Aurora, 60506. 11:00am-2:00pm, a great follow-up to the parade. FREE (donations appreciated). Music, magic, games, and food for purchase. Self-guided tours of the house. At 1pm all children are invited to ring our historic bells as part of the national Freedom Bells observation.
Bartlett
2015 Fireworks Extravaganza
The annual Bartlett Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, July 4 at Apple Orchard Park, located near the intersection of South Bartlett Road and Stearns Road. The fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. and finish at approximately 10 p.m. The Bartlett Police Department will be conducting traffic control at certain intersections along South Bartlett Road and Stearns Road after the fireworks show. Motorists in the general vicinity will experience heavy travel times due to the large amount of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
All vehicles exiting onto South Bartlett Road north of Stearns Road will be directed northbound towards Devon Avenue. All vehicles exiting onto South Bartlett Road south of Stearns Road will be directed southbound towards Schick Road. All vehicles exiting onto Stearns Road west of South Bartlett Road will be directed westbound towards IL Route 59. All vehicles exiting onto Stearns Road east of South Bartlett Road will be directed eastbound towards County Farm Road. Please be aware no vehicles will be allowed to drive through the intersection at South Bartlett Road and Stearns Road.
Batavia
July 4th Sky Concert Fireworks
Don’t miss one of the Fox Valley’s premier Fourth of July fireworks displays — the Batavia “Sky Concert.” The audience is invited to watch the display from Engstrom Park at the corner of Main and Millview streets. Savor the Flavor food vendors will open at 5 p.m.. The Sky Concert begins promptly at 9:30 p.m. For details, check out the Batavia Fireworks website.
Elgin
2015 City of Elgin 4th of July Parade
The 2015 City of Elgin 4th of July Parade – Steps off at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at the intersection of Slade and Douglas avenues, then proceeds south on Douglas through the NorthEast Neighborhood Association, into the heart of downtown Elgin, and ends at the intersection of Highland and Douglas Avenues.
This year’s theme is “American Pastimes.” Please join the city of Elgin and the Downtown Neighborhood Association in celebrating those who have served our country and community.
Huntley
July 4 Fireworks Show
There’s a new location this year at Deicke Park! So grab the family and make some memories. Huntley Community Radio (101.5FM) will also be broadcasting LIVE from the July 4 Fireworks Show. The rain date is Sunday, July 5.
Kane County Cougars (Geneva)
Great Food And Fireworks On July 3
Bring an appetite on Friday, July 3, as the Kane County Cougars are offering an all-you-can-eat buffet on the right field deck! Your ticket includes a two-hour buffet with grilled meats, salads, desserts and much more! Stick around after the game for an amazing patriotic FIREWORKS show!
Pingree Grove
2-Day Celebration
Pingree Grove does something a little different: a two-day Independence Day Celebration on from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 10 and July 11. This year’s events include food and live music at CLCC Baseball Field #CL4.

Sleepy Hollow
Sleepy Hollow has made a few changes to the schedule, starting a little earlier in the day. Events include a fun run, fishing derby, car show, parade, a pie-eating contest, fireworks and more! It all happens July 4 at Sabatino Park on Thorobred Lane in Sleepy Hollow.

St. Charles
July 4th Celebration
When the sun goes down, the night sky lights up with an ooh- and aah-worthy festival of colors, lights and sounds. Best viewed from the grounds at either Pottawatomie Park or Ferson Creek Park, the fireworks show is free to the public, thanks to the generous support of local businesses and organizations. In addition to the St. Charles Park District, other sponsors include the City of St. Charles, First State Bank and the St. Charles Breakfast Rotary.
Fox Valley Concert Band
- Performing well-known marches, show tunes and light classical pieces, the Fox Valley Concert Band will appear from 4 to 5:30 p.m. July 4 at the Amphitheater in Pottawatomie Park.
Hello Dave Performance
- It’s the three-part harmonies and dueling lead music that have made “Hello Dave” popular Chicago-area musicians for more than 20 years. “Hello Dave” will play their brand of Chicago Twang at the Historic Pavilion from 6 p.m. until the start of the fireworks show.
