Aurora 22-Year-Old Pleads Guilty to Sexual Servitude of Minor
An Aurora man is headed to prison after he pleaded guilty to paying to engage in a sexual relationship with two minor girls.
Andres Alonso, 22, of the 900 block of Gates Street, Aurora, today (Thursday, July 9, 2015)agreed to a sentence of seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections in exchange for a guilty plea to involuntary sexual servitude of a minor, a Class X felony.
Associate Judge Clint Hull accepted the plea.
On Dec. 2, 2014, Alonso went to an Aurora hotel planning to have sex with what he believed would be a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl. Alonso had responded to an online personal advertisement service and agreed with someone whom he believed was the girls’ mother to pay $100 for 30 minutes of sexual favors with the girls. When he arrived at the hotel, he paid the $100 to a person he thought was the girls’ mother and then was greeted by officers from Homeland Security Investigations and the Aurora Police Department and arrested.
According to Illinois law, Alonso is eligible for day-for-day credit. Alonso receives credit for at least 220 days served in the Kane County jail, where he has been held his arrest in lieu of $500,000 bail.
The case was prosecuted by Kane County Assistant State’s Attorney Christine Bayer.
“Mr. Alonso was convicted under an Illinois law that was designed to wipe out the sex trafficking trade. I am pleased that we were able to make a dent in the demand, and pleased that no children were put at risk. The trafficking of humans for sexual or other purposes is despicable and we are committed to doing our part to put a stop to it,” Kane County State’s Attorney Joe McMahon said. “Thanks to Homeland Security Investigations and the Aurora Police Department for their work.”
