Public Meeting July 29 Provides Look at Sugar Grove Parkway, I-88 Interchange
The first public meeting for the Sugar Grove Parkway (Illinois Route 47) interchange at the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) improvement study will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Event Room in the Academic and Professional Center Building at Waubonsee Community College.
The APC Building is located adjacent to the northern Waubonsee Community College entrance to IL Route 47.
This is the first of four scheduled meetings open to the public, and more a lot more information can be found at www.SugarGroveInterchange.org.
In essence, the project will create a full interchange at I-88, opening the way for economic development and easy access to the Illinois Tollway. For even more information on the project, see the Kane County Division of Transportation’s 2015-2019 Transportation Improvement Report.

Illinois Route 47 (IL 47) was recently designated as Sugar Grove Parkway in Sugar Grove, Illinois. The study area on IL 47 extends from Old Oaks Drive/Waubonsee Drive (the northern Waubonsee Community College Entrance) to Green Road, for a length of approximately 2.2 miles. The Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) will be studied approximately 3,000 feet east and west of IL 47 for a length of approximately 1.1 miles. The proposed project is located within the Village of Sugar Grove and unincorporated Sugar Grove and Blackberry Townships in southern Kane County, Illinois.

Costs And Funding
Project costs will be developed as part of this study. This improvement is partially funded in IDOT’s FY 2016-2021 Proposed Highway Improvement Program and requires additional local cost participation to advance beyond Phase I.
