Rush-Copley Medical Group Creates General Surgery Department
Rush-Copley Medical Group welcomes surgeons Allen Bloom, M.D., FACS, David A. Hodgett M.D., FACS and Craig Weinstein M.D., FACS. These surgeons, along with. J.B. Joo, M.D., who joined Rush-Copley Medical Group in February, will now make up the general surgery department of Rush-Copley Medical Group.
Allen Bloom M.D., FACS, is board certified in General Surgery. Dr. Bloom received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois and completed his internship and residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a professional member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, American Medical Association, DuPage County Medical Society, and the Illinois State Medical Society. His areas of interest include breast surgery, endocrine surgery, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery and surgical oncology.
David A. Hodgett M.D., FACS, is board certified in General Surgery. He received his medical degree from University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago, Illinois and completed his residency training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His areas of interest include trauma surgery, breast surgery, endocrine surgery, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, and vascular access.
Craig Weinstein M.D., FACS, is board certified in General Surgery. He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed his internship, residency and surgical critical care fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His areas of interest include breast surgery, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery and vascular access.
