Cougars Announce 2 Free Fan-Appreciation Nights to Celebrate 25th Anniversary Season
What could be better than celebrating a beautiful summer day at the Kane County Cougars’ Fifth Third Bank Ballpark? How about celebrating the Cougars’ 25th anniversary season by attending the game for free.
The Cougars have designated Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, as Fan Appreciation Nights at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark.
As a special silver anniversary season thank-you, the 6:30 p.m. games against Beloit on both dates include complimentary box, reserved or lawn seat tickets for fans. Fans can take advantage by calling (630) 232-8811 or ordering online at kccougars.com. The Sept. 1 game features an added promotion with Bark in the Park as dogs are admitted for free onto the first base lawn area.
So far this season, more than 300,000 fans have been treated to a 25th anniversary season celebration that has included exciting promotions, concerts and theme nights. Upcoming theme nights include Minions Night (Aug. 22) and Star Wars Night (Sept. 5).
The Cougars will welcome ’80s cover band Hi Infidelity on Aug. 22 and Sixteen Candles on Sept. 5. Both of these concerts take place from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. inside the Cougars’ music garden area. Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. on these Saturday dates and fans with a ticket to the game can arrive early for the concerts.
In addition to the above promotions, the Cougars have designated Friday, Aug. 21 as a Thirsty Friday with $1 select beers and sodas. That evening is also Peanut Free Night as no peanuts or peanut-related products will be available in order to benefit individuals with peanut allergies. Fans in attendance will enjoy a post-game fireworks show as well.

The Season, So Far
What a season it has been for the Kane County Cougars. As of this writing, the Cougars’ season record is 73-45, and their second-half record is a torrid 37-13. They are coming off a 1-0 win Tuesday over the Cedar Rapids Kernels (27-23, 68-52) at Veterans Memorial Stadium, part of a five-game win streak.
