County Doing Crack-Filling Work for About Next 3 Weeks
If you’re out and about on Kane County roads and notice some roadwork going on in the next few weeks, it might just be part of the county’s crack-sealing program.
Kane County’s 2015 crack-sealing effort started its next phase on Aug. 10, 2015, with an anticipated duration of approximately three weeks. The program involves filling and sealing roadway cracks to extend the life of the pavement.
Subject to change, the roadways are scheduled to be treated in the following order:
- La Fox Road (Dillonfield Drive to IL Route 38)
- West County Line Road (Harter Road to IL Route 38)
- Meredith Road (Keslinger Road to IL Route 38)
The above-mentioned roads will remain open during treatment, with roads being reduced to one lane travel using temporary daily lane closures. Motorists should add additional time to their commutes, expect delays, watch for construction activity and obey flaggers while traveling through the work areas. Motorists may want to consider the use of alternate routes while this work is being completed.
