Civil Fees Increase $2 as Part of 5-Year Pilot Program

All civil filing fees and appearance fees at the 16th Judicial Circuit Clerk’s Office have been increased by $2, effective Sept. 1, 2015.

According to a Circuit Clerk’s news release, all civil filings received on or after Sept. 1, 2015 will incur the $2 increased fee. The fee is an Access to Justice Fee for a five-year pilot program.

Circuit Clerk’s Office Description

Kane County Circuit Court Clerk is the keeper of records for civil and criminal court. The public may go to the office to view the records from cases already recorded including domestic violence, divorce, traffic, criminal, child support, and maintenance information.

Online Court Records

You may view your case on the Kane County Circuit Clerk’s website by clicking on the Online Court Records link located on the Electronic Services page. You may look up your case by name, case number or ticket in the respective search field.

The 16th Judicial Circuit Clerk’s Office has many of our forms online. You are able to fill them out online, print them and file them with our office. Currently, this office does not have electronic filling. If you are looking for a specific form online and are not finding it, email our Technical Support and we will look into the possibility of getting it put online.
