History Museum Brews Up Presentation on Beer Branding
The Geneva History Museum will present “The Art of Beer Branding” at noon Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015.
Eric Hobbs, founder of Penrose Brewing Company in Geneva, will present how label design is more than a means of advertising, it is a preferred way to communicate and establish brand identity. This program coordinates with the museum’s current Feature Exhibition, “Brewing Identity: The Art of Craft Beer,” a traveling exhibition that highlights craft breweries from the Midwestern United States. Created by students in the Northern Illinois University Museum Studies program, the gallery explores art found on beer cans and bottle labels and the artists who create them.
This is a Geneva History Museum Brown Bag Lunch Program held at noon on the second Tuesday of each month from September thru May at 113 S. Third Street, Geneva. Â Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch and the Museum offers cookies, water, tea and coffee.
Admission is $5 each or $3 for museum members. Registration is encouraged to ensure seating and can be made at GenevaHistoryMuseum.org or by calling 630-232-4951.
