Popular ‘Harvest of the Acorn Moon’ Festival Is Sunday, Oct. 4, in Aurora
The Kane County Forest Preserve District’s most-popular nature program — “Harvest of the Acorn Moon” — takes place Sunday at Oakhurst Forest Preserve in Aurora.
The annual celebration marks the beginning of fall and is full of fun and surprises for people of all ages. For many families with younger childen, the event has become an annual tradition, with pumpkin painting, games, guided nature hikes, nature crafts, folk music and much more.
There is no admission fee, but there are nominal fees for crafts and refreshments.
