Art and public works are not often associated with each other, but the two are a perfect match for the Geneva Art Guild’s upcoming exhibition.

People are invited to the “Art Works” opening reception from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 followed by the full show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Geneva Public Works Department, 1800 South St.

The free event highlights local artists and their creativity while celebrating Geneva’s support of the cultural arts in the community. Artists of all mediums will be presenting and selling their art, which will include acrylic, oils, watercolors, photography, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, music and more.

Patrons browsing the exhibit will have an opportunity to visit with the artists, watch art demonstrations, listen to live music and enjoy light refreshments.
