Heads Up! New Multi-Way Stop Coming Oct. 13 to McDonald and Corron Roads

The Kane County Division of Transportation will post signage and an overhead flashing beacon for a new multi-way stop at the intersection of Corron Road & McDonald Road on Oct. 13, 2015. The new multi-way stop is anticipated to be in place at about 10 a.m.

The new multi-way stop and overhead flashing beacon are being installed at this location as a safety enhancement. In the days leading up to Oct. 13, KDOT will be deploying message boards to alert motorists of the coming change. Supplemental signage and warning flags will also be posted for the first several weeks to call special attention to the new configuration.

Motorists traveling on Corron Road should anticipate the need to stop at McDonald Road and exercise caution when approaching the intersection.

Information regarding this change and other active Traffic Advisories is available on the Kane County Division of Transportation web page at KDOT Traffic Alerts.

Any questions or concerns may be directed to the Chief of Traffic Operations & Permitting, Kurt Nika, at (630) 584-1171.
