Officials Identify Motorcycle Driver Who Died in Oct. 6 Fox Road Crash

The Kane County Coroner’s Office today (Oct. 8, 2015) released the identity of a man who died Tuesday after his motorcycle collided with a minivan on Fox Road in Yorkville.

According to reports, John Kaegebein, 51, of Plano was traveling west on Fox Road at around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday when the motorcycle collided with a minivan driven by a 32-year-old Plano woman.

Kaegebein was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where he was pronounced dead at 6:28 p.m., according to a Coroner’s Office press release. The cause of death is under investigation. An autopsy was performed on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and toxicology samples were sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis.

Police said a 10-year-old passenger in the mini van was also injured, according to an article in Kendall County Now.
