Saturday’s Dog Jog Benefits Kane County Pets

Kane County Animal Control will be holding its second Annual Dog Jog from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Animal Control Facility, 4060 W. Keslinger Road in Geneva.

Cost of early registration is $15/Adult, $5/Child (12 and under) and $25/Family. Early registration ends 09/19/2015. Late registration is open from 09/20/2015— 10/03/15, and prices are $20/Adult, $10/Child (12 and under), $30/Family on the day of race. Children under 3 can join for free.

A “family” is defined as no more than two adults and up to three children. Each additional child $5. Each additional adult $10. Prices listed are suggested donations to help Kane County Animal Control fund their mission for humane care of animals through sheltering, pet placement, education, and animal law enforcement.

Event Schedule

  • 8 a.m. — Registration/ Vendor fair
  • 9 a.m. — Runners with no animals start
  • 9:15 a.m. — Runners with dogs start
  • 9:30 a.m. — Walkers start
  • noon — Awards

Registration forms are available on the Animal Control website at www.kanecountypets.com/ or can be picked up at KCAC facility.

For supporters who are unable to attend but still want to contribute, donations can be sent to the Animal Control Facility at the address listed above.
