6 Kane County Communities Make 2015 List of Top 50 ‘Safest in Illinois’
Six Kane County communities made the list of Top 50 “Safest Cities in Illinois.”
The rankings were updated Nov. 9, 2015, and rank communities according to a variety of statistics, including violent crimes per 1,000 population and property crimes per 1,000 population.

One Kane County community — Campton Hills — made the Top 10 list, and all six of the communities made the list for the second time.
“Rooted in the same ambition and moral fiber that gave birth to Abraham Lincoln, strong community spirit is a common theme for the 50 cities that made our safe cities list,” the report says.
The village of Hawthorn Woods in Lake County was ranked the No. 1 safest community in Illinois. The full report can be read at the safewise.com website.

6. Campton Hills
