The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the 2015 Citizen of the Year to be honored at the Annual Inspire Awards held on Jan. 29, 2016. Being named Citizen of the Year is one of the most distinguished honors given to a local resident.

Citizens can be nominated by anyone willing to write a letter to the Chamber explaining why the person they are nominating deserves the honor. Nominees must either live or work in Batavia and have made an extraordinary contribution to the community, outside of the responsibilities of their primary employment. Nominees do not have to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce to be considered.

Nominations must be received in the Chamber office by Dec. 4, 2015.  Nominations must be in writing and can be emailed to Holly Deitchman at: holly@bataviachamber.org or mailed to the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, 106 West Wilson Street, Batavia, IL 60510.
