Home Repair Loans Available Through Community Contacts

Homeowners in Kane County who meet income and home ownership qualifications can apply now for a no-interest deferred loan for the repair of their homes. Available through Community Contacts Inc., with funds provided by Kane County. These loans help residents bring their homes into compliance with local housing codes.

Residents must meet specific qualifications including:

  • Household income does not exceed 80 percent of the area median income or $42,600 for one person, $48,650 for two persons, $54,750 for three person and $60,800 for four person.
  • Homes must be single-family, owner-occupied and have clear title.

The purpose of this program is to make it possible for Kane County residents who might not otherwise be able to afford the needed repairs to have their homes rehabilitated. This includes roofing, plumbing, wiring, foundations, windows and siding.
