Lazarus House Invites Community to Thanksgiving Feast
Lazarus House warmly invites the community to join its staff, guests and many supporters at its annual Thanksgiving Feast to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015 at the Tri-Cities Salvation Army, 1710 S. 7th Ave., St. Charles. Dining begins at noon.
The feast has become an established tradition in the community. Not only are Lazarus House guests blessed by the outpouring of generosity and compassion exhibited by those who attend, the feast has also become the family meal for many who live by themselves or do not have family close by.
“We look forward to being with you this Thanksgiving as we celebrate our abundant blessings together!” said Beth McCartney, Lazarus House holiday coordinator.
For those able to cook, a dish to pass is most appreciated. Food should arrive between 11:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. in a disposable container, ready to serve at noon. Needed dishes and supplies are posted on the website: www.lazarushouseonline.com.
There is no cost to attend. However, organizers would greatly appreciate a courtesy call or email if you are able to contribute a dish and/or plan on attending. Please contact Beth at 630-587-2144 or email her at holidays@lazarushouseonline.com
