‘Over the River and Through the Woods’ Guided Nature Walk on Nov. 27
Too much Thanksgiving turkey? Tired of shopping? The Kane County Forest Preserve District has a great alternative.
Come to LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve for “Over the River and Through the Woods,” the Forest Preserve District’s popular, annual, post-Thanksgiving guided nature walk from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27.
You can watch for wildlife, learn about adaptations for winter, and maybe see a wild turkey or two. You won’t go over the river, but you’ll walk over the creek on a foot bridge, and hike through the woods.
All ages are welcome. Bring the whole family! Advance registration is required for this free program. Call 630-444-3190 or e-mail programs@kaneforest.com to register.
LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve is located at 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.
