A Holiday Wish List For Kane County Animals in Need
With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s a good time to reflect on those who are less fortunate than us, both the two-legged and four-legged kind. That’s why the staff at Kane County Animal Control is so excited about its new partnership with Northwestern Medicine, located in Warrenville, IL.
Stephanie Gregory, manager of HR Programs, is leading Northwestern Medicine’s “Season of Giving” campaign, which targets four in-need groups — Feed the Hungry, Patients In Need, Children In Need, and Animals In Need — and one of the lucky recipients of their generosity are the animals at Kane County Animal Control.
Northwestern Medicine is providing its 8,100 employees the opportunity to donate to the animals at Kane County by clicking on a link provided through their company’s intranet. Brett Youngsteadt, KCAC administrator, provided Northwestern Medicine with the link to the wish list on KCAC’s website, www.kanecountypets.com, and Gregory took it from there.
Donation boxes will be dispersed to a number of areas within the Northwestern Medicine location, where employees can drop off unwrapped items beginning Dec. 1 through Dec. 7.
Delivery to the KCAC facility is scheduled for Dec. 8.
Of course, you don’t have to be a Northwestern Medicine employee to give a gift to a needy animal through Kane County Animal Control’s “Season of Giving.” You can drop off a gift at Kane County Animal Control, 4060 Keslinger Road, Geneva, or at the Giving Tree located at the Town & Country Public Library, 320 E.
